Peter J. Holgate is a well rounded business leader, having created more than $200M in enterprise value in six startups over the past 25 years. Recently, as CEO of Ronin8 Technologies, Peter helped raise over $11M in pre-revenue venture capital to extract gold from waste electronics using sound waves underwater. Peter’s leadership and passion in the circular economy has garnered attention from industry organizations and government, earning respected awards for Ronin8, including: BC Technology Impact Award (BCTIA) in 2016, Recycling Council of BC (RCBC) Innovation Award in 2015, Innovation Award of the Year (2015) by Member of Parliament in Richmond. Peter has been a roster consultant for the Business Development Bank of Canada (BDC).

Peter holds a Masters in Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree from Simon Fraser University with a focus on business strategy. Peter also holds a B.A. with majors in Industrial Psychology and Behavioural Statistics and an Honours (B.A.) in Industrial Psychology. Peter successfully completed the Harvard Business School Strategic Negotiations: Dealmaking for the Long Term Program. Peter plays an active role in the local business community having served as Learning Chair, Finance Chair and President-Elect for the Entrepreneurs Organization (EO) as well as volunteer mentoring in the New Ventures BC Competition.
